The art of conversation is dying

Nowadays the preference for the electronic communication devices has increased a lot. The world of science has improved and due to this many new inventions are smiling around the world. The words email, chat and sms are very common and popular among the teen agers these days. Each and every house has a telephone and even a computer too. So people find it easier to make a call to anyone they wish to pass the message or just have a chat. They even find that sending an email or a sms is much easier and quicker rather than going and knocking at the doors to pass the message.
Nowadays if you get out of your house and step in the road you will see 10% of the people hanged on their phones and 80% of them will be sending sms. It’s very much clear that the people have less direct interaction with one another. No one these days wishes to have a face to face meeting. It is true that people hardly find leisure time now. But even if they get free time they wish to get them selves engaged in some other work than visiting their relatives or friends.
The most popular mean of communication today is online chat. With the growth of technology almost all have access to internet. People prefer this mode very much, since it is very easy. They find it easier to sit in their room and having chat with their friends and relatives. Some feel that this reduces the time and energy spent while going to a place and meeting them to have the same conversation.
These modern means of communication is sometime may be good and beneficial. But it is killing the lovely art of conversation. When you are having a conversation with a person in present you have more passion on the topic you speak about. Your facial expressions will add more meaning to your conversation. These are dead in these electronic modes of communication. It is some time even bad for your health. Little by little people will not have interaction at all and will become isolated. Even they could get mentally affected in the long term. Lovingness also dies. People will even lose interest in their own life and will live for the sake of living. Death of the art of conversation is a real threat to this world which enjoys more the invention of science.

That's true... a set of typed characters do not bring the feeling of a spoken word... u can pass your feelings with the tone u r speaking... u're love, hapiness.. ect.

Thanks Tweety Bird and Thinks Why Not.
As you all said, eyes and facial expression can speak much more than words....
