A fine day in my career :) :) :)

On the 30th of June I was at Virtusa on skill training, building a paper castle. I got a call from SLT saying that I have been selected as an IT and Network Officer and have to come there on the next day to collect my letters. So on the next day morning I went to SLT head office with my best friend. I was there by 8.45 and I waited at the HR division. Around 10.30 we had a meeting and was handed over our confirmation notice letters. They informed me that I have been selected as a trainer to Moratuwa Telecom training Centre. They asked the date on which I would be joining. And I promised to join on the 14th of July as I needed some time to resign my current job and join there. And then I left the place around 11.15. On this day also my best friend helped me down and gave me send off. I was extremely happy on that day and didn't have words to express my happiness. My wish from small days was to become a lecturer in future. And i was overjoyed to hear that my work is conducting trainings. I wish and hope that I can do a good job there. But even though I was happy about joining there, I also felt sad that I will have to leave my frnds at Virtusa. But anyway I thought that I even can keep in touch with them for ever.

Third Interview at SLT :) :) :)

On the fourth of June morning I was at Virtusa on my first day of induction training. Around 9 a clock I got a call from SLT saying that I have been selected from the exam that was held on the 2nd of May. And I have to attend the third interview on the next day, the 5th of June. I was extremely happy and didn't know what to do. And then decided to attend the interview on the next day. I had my interview at 12 o'clock. On the 4th evening my best friend came home and he arranged my file to take to the interview. And helped me in preparing how to answer the question and face the interview. I was so much scared because this time there will be people from HR and also the sectional heads. On the 5th around 10.45 I got ready and went to the church first. Then along with my father went to the interview. it was at SLT head office. When I went to the office my best friend received me at the reception and took me to the HR division where the interview was. Then at 12.35 I was called and I went and met the panel. There were about 6 people in the panel including Mr.Lakmal (who was section head of Training and Development at that time). They asked me few question and I had a discussion for about 10 minutes only. And they told that if I am selected I will be informed. When I left the room I had a small hope that there is chance for me to get selected, because I had answered the entire question thrown on me correctly and with courage. So then my best friend took me down stairs and gave me the send off.

Second interview at SLT :)

On the 2nd of May I had my selection test at SLT, which was a 4 hours exams including one hour of practical exam. The day previous to the exam i got ready by referring to my notes and browsing net. My best friend another friend helped me in preparing for the exam. On the 2nd morning I got up early in the morning and went to the exam with my father. One of my friends too joined me to the exam. It was held at Welsiara Trainng Centre at 10 o'clock. Since I was traveling from Dehiwala I started early around 8.30 and was at the venue by 9.15.

Around 9.45 we were taken into the auditorium where the exams were held. I got the first number in the list and I was seated in the first row. Then in the first hour I had my practical exams. One was programming and the other was networking. I managed to do the both. And then I did the theory exams. Around 2.15 i left back from Weleisara. The written exams were bit tuff and anyhow I managed to do it. But even though I did well, I had a fear that whether I will be selected or not. It was because there were 116 people and all were much senior to me. I wished that I should be selected and left the place with the hope that I should be selected.
