Happy Teachers’ Day
Teachers, they educate us, care for us and guide us to reach our goals. Next to our parents our teachers are the only people who care more about us. I really felt it from my school life until today. We have many friends; out of them we have best friends. That doesn’t mean that we don’t like or don’t care for other friends. Some attitude, characteristic makes us love some friends more. Same applies for teachers too. Even though we come across many teachers in our life some becomes our favourite and best in our life.
My life has no exceptions. I too met many teachers till nursery up to grade 13 and again in undergraduate life as well. But the teachers I like the most are my dancing teacher Mrs Thayananthi Vimalachandran, My lectures in undergraduate life Ms Anjalie Gamage and Mr Samantha Rajapakshe.
My dancing teacher not only treats me as her student but also like her own child. She made me love dancing and now dance is like a part and partial of my life. I am learning bharatha from her for the past 15 years. She teaches us with care and love. She made me feel nothing is impossible by even teaching me the most difficult steps very simply and training me on that. I still remember the days how she cared about my exams and my arangettram more than I did. She has devoted her self for the art of dancing and she teaches this divine art as a service but not for money. When ever she performs and show us some movements I feel as if Lord Nadaraj has come down and is performing in front of me. Such a beauty and grace. Actually no words to say it. Even though she is a legend and a great dancer she is always down to earth and treats every one equally. I always pray lord nadaraja to shower his blessings always on my teacher.
The next teacher who has inspired a lot is my lecturer Ms Anjalie Gamage. She has taught me programming in my first year. She was the role model for me. She inspired me to become a lecturer. The way she smartly come to class, teaches and her each and every action is amazing. Specially the way she advice the students and help them to the maximum is amazing. I always wanted to become a lecturer like. Even though I have reached the goal but still I cannot be smart as her. She is unique always. Indeed I am really happy and proud today to be her own junior staff member.
The next teacher who I admire the most is also a lecturer at my institute Mr Samantha Kumara Rajapakshe. He did mathematic, algorithm analysis and operating system module for me when I was an under graduate. He is simply great. He is so very down to earth and never hurt the feelings of any students. He is always ready to help the students always. He guided me to do a good research in my final year and helped me publish many papers as well. The guidance and motivation he has given is immense. I am really lucky to be his junior now and still I am learning from him many new things.
I am really happy to have so many loving and caring teachers in my life. Each one of them are unique and no one can ever replace their places too. I will always remember them in my life with gratitude. I can not give any thing in this world as the return for what I have gained from my teacher. The things I have gained and learnt are in valuable and priceless. All I would be able to do is to remember them always, respect them and pray god to bless them with always happiness and success for ever in their life.
My dear teachers thank u so much for guiding me, inspiring me and make me who I am today. I am fortunate enough that I had a loving, caring teacher like you.

The art of conversation is dying
Nowadays the preference for the electronic communication devices has increased a lot. The world of science has improved and due to this many new inventions are smiling around the world. The words email, chat and sms are very common and popular among the teen agers these days. Each and every house has a telephone and even a computer too. So people find it easier to make a call to anyone they wish to pass the message or just have a chat. They even find that sending an email or a sms is much easier and quicker rather than going and knocking at the doors to pass the message.
Nowadays if you get out of your house and step in the road you will see 10% of the people hanged on their phones and 80% of them will be sending sms. It’s very much clear that the people have less direct interaction with one another. No one these days wishes to have a face to face meeting. It is true that people hardly find leisure time now. But even if they get free time they wish to get them selves engaged in some other work than visiting their relatives or friends.
The most popular mean of communication today is online chat. With the growth of technology almost all have access to internet. People prefer this mode very much, since it is very easy. They find it easier to sit in their room and having chat with their friends and relatives. Some feel that this reduces the time and energy spent while going to a place and meeting them to have the same conversation.
These modern means of communication is sometime may be good and beneficial. But it is killing the lovely art of conversation. When you are having a conversation with a person in present you have more passion on the topic you speak about. Your facial expressions will add more meaning to your conversation. These are dead in these electronic modes of communication. It is some time even bad for your health. Little by little people will not have interaction at all and will become isolated. Even they could get mentally affected in the long term. Lovingness also dies. People will even lose interest in their own life and will live for the sake of living. Death of the art of conversation is a real threat to this world which enjoys more the invention of science.
